Rekeweg wins sheriff race
Adams County Sheriff-elect Shane Rekeweg described his feeling as being, "overwhelmed," followed a convincing victory in Tuesday night's election. Rekeweg, a Republican, won the sheriff’s office election with a total of 4,805 votes over Democrat Jon Fuhrman (2,876 votes) and Independent Terry Nevil (1,881 votes).
"I am in complete awe at the trust the county has put in me," said Rekeweg.
Rekeweg said that he planned to carry through the four main areas he emphasized during his campaign efforts – public, budget, staff and jail.
