Adams County residents support youth in spite of excessive heat

In spite of heat index readings exceeding 100 degrees, Adams County residents came to Monroe by the masses to eat supper, support their young people, and take in the annual 4-H parade.
County residents found lots of shade, shelter and carried cool drinks to their favorite observation spots to take pictures and cheer for 4-H club floats, ambassadors riding the parade and supporting candidates and businesses of their choice. And there was plenty of sugar available as sacks of candy were passed out to children who waited eagerly along the sidelines to fill their bags with goodies tossed from floats.
