Geneva Town Council approved an agreement between South Adams Schools and the Geneva Police Department at Tuesday’s regular meeting. Geneva Police will cover the use of the officer during summer months, but during the school year, South Adams Schools will pay Geneva for the staffing of the officer at the school.

“Now I want to get into negotiations with the safety board about a permanent solution to this,” said Johnson.
Johnson said there are two possible solutions that are at least being considered. One is a house bill that could solve the problem and the other is some grant money that Johnson said is supposed to be somewhere out there.
