United Way picks up momentum for final portion of 2010 campaign
The Adams County 2010 United Way campaign is closing in on its goal of $202,011, officials told those attending the United Way banquet at the South Adams Senior Center on Wednesday afternoon.
To date, over $160,000 has been raised towards the campaign total. United Way administrative assistant Constance Edwards said that at least four significant company donations are yet to be received.
She noted that the local agency has received a Lilly grant matching new donors or increased giving up to $12,500. So far, Edwards said, new givers donations top $14,000. This year's top 10 company donors included: Adams Memorial Hospital ($25,000); Bunge North America ($16,000); First Bank of ...
