Officials gearing up for this weekend’s Relay for Life

In addition to walking to raise money to fight cancer, a whole slate of activities will be geared to help raise funds and to make the entire event an enjoyable family day out at this year’s Adams County Relay for Life, which will kick off at noon this Saturday and continue through Sunday at 10 a.m. Various activities in tents and booths will surround the track at the Adams Central football field, this year’s relay location. Activities will include bracelets and fashion, scarves, face painting, de-stress massages, Minnie and Goofy on site, temporary tattoos, skin cancer screening, nail painting and stickers. Other sales and events will include mud love bracelets, oral cancer screening, beads, buttons and balloons. There will also be plenty of homemade food on sale, all prepared to raise donations for this year's relay event.
