South Adams top student comes down to wire

A graduation unlike any other, it was an afternoon none of the 82 graduates at South Adams is likely to forget anytime soon. Leading up to graduation, it was a battle of the minds at South Adams as the race for valedictorian came down to the last grade of the last class of the last semester for Alaina Johnston and Cady Farlow. Just one one-hundredth of a point separated the two, but in the end, Farlow earned the title of valedictorian. Farlow gave an unforgettable speech, starting out by reminiscing about some of the more humorous and awkward times for the class of 2015 throughout the years. She even confessed to lying to her teacher, Mrs. Minch, during her sophomore year about having a cell phone in class but claiming it was a calculator and apologized to Minch wanting to get that off her chest before she graduated.
