South Adams board approves superintendent’s contract

The South Adams School Board held a work session on Tuesday evening to go over superintendent Scott Litwiller’s goals for the future. Litwiller went over eight possible goals for him to work towards and asked the board to choose from the list or to present goals that they might possibly have. The eight possible goals are delegation, listening-acknowledge/assure staff that he has heard them, visibility within the school, academic achievement, leadership development of administrators and directors, marketing South Adams to increase enrollment, health insurance costs, and post-graduate doctorate program. Litwiller readily admits that he has excelled more in some areas and that there is definite room for improvement. The post-graduate doctorate goal has been put on hold largely until after his sons graduate and that in his evaluation from the teachers and staff, they commented on more visibility within the school.
