Geneva Commission initiates steps for economic plan

Members of the Geneva Redevelopment Commission took action earlier this week to initiate steps towards an economic development plan for the Geneva economic development area. Geneva Clerk/Treasurer Bill Warren passed out maps of a proposed TIF district that was continuous and included all of the town’s real estate assets. One of the big goals in developing the TIF district, said Warren, is to include the seven acres north of the Case and Court Shop located between the shop and County Road 950 north of the proposed area. Included in that district is the proposed trailhead for the South Adams Trail that is proposed to stretch from the north end of Geneva to the Wabash River, in its first construction phase.
