Arthur L. McCollum

Arthur L. McCollum, 72, of Keystone passed away at 3:04 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born on Wednesday, May 24, 1939 in Indiana to James and Lela Isca (Pace) McCollum. He was married on May 13, 1961 in Angola to Paula Lynn Burns.
He was a 1957 graduate of Geneva High School. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He owned and operated Art's Welding Shop in Geneva. He resided in Nottingham Township in Wells County for several years. He attended Church of the Living God in Dunkirk. He enjoyed camping, music, playing his harmonica, guitar, and banjo. He and his wife just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his wife; two brothers, Norman McCollum; and Ronald (Cindy) McCollum, both of Geneva; seven sister-in-laws, Carol Hurt; Eunice West; Joyce Morgan; Mary Raugh; Christine Eisenhut; Charlene Gobernatz; and Cora Meadow; four brother-in-laws, Adrain Burns; Phillip Burns; Danny Burns; and Denver Burns; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Margaret Bailey; and brother-in-law, Fred Burns.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 15 at the Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington Street, Geneva. The service to celebrate his life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16 also at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Theadore Wagoner and Rev. Dewey Zent. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Geneva.
