Betty Lee Roe, 82, of Decatur passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012 at the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born on Wednesday, June 26, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio to Raymond M. and Arberdeen (Snyder) Fickert. She was married on September 28, 1957 in Ohio City, Ohio to Ernest Roe.
She was a member of the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and WELCA in Ohio City, Ohio. She was a homemaker and worked for thirteen years at Central Insurance Company.
She is survived by a son, Randall E. (Kim) Roe of Decatur; brother, LeRoy M. Fickert of Ohio City, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Logan, Parker, and Mallorie Roe, all at home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on January 5, 2011; and sister, Wilma Feasel.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 3:00 and 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11 at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the 1:30 p.m. funeral service on Sunday, February 12 at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ohio City, Ohio. Officiating will be Rev. Denise Brown. Burial will take place at the Backesto Cemetery in Monroe.
