Betty M. Feasel, 89, of Decatur passed away at 10:05 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur. She was born on Friday, January 26, 1923 in Adams County to Varlando and Bertha (Flager) Clark. She was married on July 19, 1953 to Billie Joe Feasel.
She attended the Decatur Church of God in Decatur, and the Church House in Grabill. She was a graduate of Pleasant Mills High School class of 1941 and belonged to the Quilting Group in Big Lake. She loved sewing, cooking, baking, crocheting, and traveling. She worked at the Schafer Glove Factory for 20 years and also worked at Decatur Industries.
She is survived by two daughters, Deb (Gary) Marbach of Decatur; and Sandy McNutt of St. Petersburg, Florida; two sons, Dan (Sherry) Feasel of Auburn; and James (Diane) Byer of Geneva; sister, Ruth Hoblet of Convoy, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 2, 2002; brother, Glen "Clarkie" Clark; and grandson, Keith Marbach.
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22 at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, February 23 at the Decatur Church of God. Officiating will be Kevin Abbott, Paul Schmucker, and Dr. Robert Brink. Burial will take place at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in rural Decatur.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
