Charles J. Bransteter, 90, of Fort Wayne, died at 1:15 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Heritage Park in Fort Wayne. He was born October 24, 1922 in Mercer County, Ohio to Charles and Nelly (McGough) Bransteter.
He was a World War II Veteran of the Army Air Corps and a foreman at Magnavox in Fort Wayne with 49 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and bowling.
He is survived by two sons, Marvin (Judy) Bransteter of Fort Wayne; and Ron (Dororthy) Bransteter of Monroe; six daughters, Sandy Whittington of Portland; Sharon (James) Parks and Kathy Rhoades-Wright both of Fort Wayne; Dianne (Randy) Beer, Marcia (Neal) Rich, and Annette (Mark) Klopp all of Berne; three sisters, Deloris Caffee of Berne; Betty Haviland of Geneva; and Frieda Bryie of Fort Wayne; one brother, Lester Bransteter of Decatur; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Argyle, Richard and Chester Bransteter; and six sisters, Thelma Tester, Hazel Granger, Creva Bollenbacher, Wilma Gaede, Irma Miller and Garni Bollenbacher.
There is no visitation or services. Burial will take place in Lakeland, Florida.
