Charlotte L. Webb Weimer, 86, of Berne passed away at 4:25 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Chalet Village in Berne. She was born on May 19, 1927 in McLean County, Illinois to Lyle and Jeanette (Crawford) Harsha. She was married on February 23, 1961 to Ernest Webb.
She moved from Illinois to Berne when she was six years old. She was a 1945 graduate of Kendallville High School. She was a homemaker and was employed at CTS, Dunbar Furniture, Home Dairy, and Swiss Village. She was a member of the First Missionary Church in Berne.
She enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, doing puzzles and word search puzzles, watching birds, and sending cards to her friends. She loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter, Kierstyn. She loved getting together with her “Harsha Bunch”, where she could always laugh and reminisce but most of all, “cut-up” with her brother and sister.
She is survived by three daughters, Cosy Luke (Jerry) Watschke of Hackensack, Minnesota; and Kay Arnold; and Joy (Eric) Glidewell, both of Berne; brother, Don (Margaret Ann) Harsha of Berne; sister, Shirley (Don) Richwine of Bluffton; step-daughter, Rosie (Al) Farlow of Geneva; step-son, Larry (JoLyn) Webb of Longmont, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Terry Watschke of Hackensack, Minnesota; Emily Arnold of Mokena, Illinois; Joel Arnold of Omaha, Nebraska; Manda Arnold of Berne; and Justin, Shawna, and Kyle Glidewell, all of Berne; five step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her previous husband, Dean Luke in 2007; and her husband, Ernest in March of 1987.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2 in the First Missionary Church Fellowship Hall and one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, May 3 at First Missionary Church in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Max Haines. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery east of Geneva.
Memorials may be made to the First Missionary Church Christian Aid Fund.
