Chris L. Eicher, 50, of Geneva passed away at 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 6:45 a.m. in White Pigeon, Michigan due to injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born on Wednesday, January 2, 1963 in Adams County to Ernest V. and Lydia (Graber) Eicher.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish and worked construction for the DC Graber Company.
He is survived by his wife, Esther (Ruben) Eicher of Geneva; step-parents, Ernest (Rachel) Girod of Fillmore, New York; daughter, Elizabeth (Luke) C. Shetler of Brinkhaven, Ohio; six sons, Menno (Ruby) C. Eicher of Goshen; Daniel (Malinda) C. Eicher of Berne; Ernest (Elizabeth) C. Eicher; and Chris (Freda) JR. Eicher, both of Macy; Henry (special friend, Verena Swartzentruber) Eicher of Geneva; and John (Fannie) Miller of Wooster, Ohio; three brothers, Ernest L. (Venna) Eicher; Amos L. (Wilma) Eicher; and Henry L. (Bertha) Eicher, all of Monroe; four sisters, Lydia (Samuel) Eicher of Lagrange; Verena (Manaul) Eicher of Milroy; Elizabeth (Amos) Wengerd of Monroe; and Lovina (Henry) Hershburger of Dundee, Ohio; two half-sisters, Martha (Aden) Schmucker of Applecreek, Ohio; and Rachel (Michael) Eicher of Millersburg, Ohio; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Menno (Fannie) Eicher; maternal grandparents, Amos (Leah) Graber; brother, Menno Eicher; sister, Leah Graber; half-brother, Mose Eicher; and half sister, Amanda Eicher.
Visitation was from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10 and will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11 at the John A.C. Schwartz's residence, 8851S 400W, Geneva. Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12 at John A.C. Schwartz's residence. Officiating will be Bishop Amos E. Schwartz. Burial will take place at the Bunkerhill Cemetery in Geneva.
