Clinton D. Steury, 88, of Fort Wayne went to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 28, 2012. He was born on September 18, 1923. He was married on June 1, 1945 to Ruth Muselman.
He was a 1941 graduate of Monroe High School. He served on the Adams County Welfare Board, taught Sunday school for many years at First Missionary Church in Berne, and was a member of Gideons International. He was a faithful member of First Missionary Church of Fort Wayne. He was employed as a pressman at Economy Printing Concern in Berne and after retirement, did printing for Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company and Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne. He enjoyed gardening and photography, and especially time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of Fort Wayne; son, Wesley (Cindy) Steury of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Ann (Allen) Tomlinson of Merrimack, New Hampshire; and Rhonda (Barry) Culbertson of Fort Wayne; two daughters-in-law, Nedra Steury of Fort Wayne; and Linda Steury of Berne; three sisters, Esther Steinman of Fort Wayne; Florine Fennig of Berne; and Shirley Burke of Littleton, Colorado; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, C. David Steury; and Steven L. Steury; two brothers, Frank Steury; and Ernie Steury; and three sisters, Clara Sprunger; Ruth Sprunger; and Mary Alice Lehman Waren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30 at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1 and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Monday, July 2 at the First Missionary Church, 701 W. Rudisill Blvd, Fort Wayne. Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2 at MRE Cemetery in Berne.
