Corrine V. Lehman, 89, of Berne, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at her home. She was born on October 21, 1923 in Adams County to Henry and Rosella (Beer) Nussbaum. She married Emerson “Emie” Lehman on October 21, 1944.
She was a member of Cross Community Church in Berne and served as an Elder, Sunday school teacher, and a member of the choir for 70 years. She was co-owner of Lehman’s Auction and Real Estate Co. and a member of the Indiana Real Estate Association. She enjoyed caring for her flowers, loved music, cooking, antique collecting, and reading – especially her Bible.
She is survived by five daughters, Connie (Jim) Mann, Sue Ann Lehman, and Regina (companion Jim Stickle) Mailoux all of Berne, Amy (Ken) Lambertson of Alexandria, and Gretta (Jerry) Nusbaumer of Keystone; brother, Curtis (Grace) Nussbaum of Monroe; sister-in-law, Gladys Nussbaum of Berne; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1993; and brothers, James, Weldon and Roger Nussbaum.
Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 13 at Cross Community Church, and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Monday, October 14. Pastor Chris Kruchkow will officiate. Burial will follow in the MRE Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Cross Community Church, Family Life Care, or Fort Wayne Crossroads.
