Enos S. Girod
Enos S. Girod, 91, of Monroe died at 9:40 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012 at his residence. He was born on Wednesday, June 30, 1920 in Adams County to Samuel P. and Josephine P. Girod. He was married on Monday, May 12, 1941 in Adams County to Maryann A. Hilty.
He is survived by two sons, Samuel (Salome) E. Girod of Geneva; and Stephen (Mary) E. Girod of Monroe; four daughters, Anna (Sam) E. Christner of Berne; Josephine (Peter) E. Schwartz; and Martha (Levi) E. Christner, both of Geneva; and Emma (Ben) E. Schwartz of Monroe; brother, Rueben S. Girod of Michigan; three half-brothers, Emanuel Girod of Berne; Ernest Girod of New York; and Ben Girod of Salem; and half-sister, Lovina Schwartz of Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; four sons, Amos E. Girod; Menno E. Girod; Roman E. Girod; and Joseph E. Girod; and daughter, Lovina E. Eicher.
Visitation was from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23 and from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 24 at the Girod residence, 1665 S. 200 W., Monroe. Funeral services were held on Monday morning, June 25 at the Girod residence. Officiating was Bishop David Christner. Burial followed at the Winchester Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
