Evangeline L. Lehman

Evangeline L. Lehman, 90, of Berne passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born on February 3, 1921 in Adams County to Oren and Louise (Kirchhofer) Moser. She was married on September 30, 1955 to Ornell Lehman.
She was a lifelong member of the First Mennonite Church. In her earlier years, she taught Sunday school and played the piano for the Sunday evening services. For several years, she played in the Zuercher Accordion Band. She worked at Foodtown after graduating from Monroe High School in 1939. Then was employed at the IGA Grocery and later was a seamstress at the Berne Apparel. Her hobbies included needlepoint, crocheting, reading and listening to music.
She is survived by a brother, Virgil (Patricia) Moser of Bluffton; three sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews living in various parts of the country.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on January 24, 1990; and brother, Howard Moser.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10 and one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, January 11 at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Anita Rediger and Pastor Jerry A. Flueckiger. Burial will take place at the MRE Cemetery in Berne
