Gail A. Runyon

Gail Alton Runyon, 90, of Geneva passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Swiss Village in Berne. He was born on September 7, 1922 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to David Smith and Cora Elizabeth (Bever) Runyon. He was married on December 24, 1941 to Doris Erlene Haines.
He was a lifelong farmer and owner of Runyon Farms. He had served on the South Adams School Board, was Democrat precinct committeeman for Hartford Township, president of Alberson Cemetery Board, and was a member of First Methodist Church in Geneva.
He is survived by his wife of Geneva; son, David (Dawn) Runyon of Geneva; three daughters, Gaila (Ron) Crouch of Olive Hill, Tennessee; Gedda Starlin of Geneva; and Ginger (Jon) Roughia of Bryant; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31 at the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Dr. Herb Buwalda. Burial will be at the Alberson Cemetery.
