Glen E. Dubach, 89, of Berne passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur. He was born on February 28, 1923 to Calvin and Estella (Fox) Dubach. He was married on May 24, 1947 to Grace Mosser.
He was a member of the Cross Community Church, where he served on the consistory. He retired from Farm Bureau Co-Op with 38 years of service in the petroleum division in sales and delivery. He served in the US Army during WWII and spent time in Africa and Italy. He was a charter board member of the South Adams Senior Center. His special interests included his family and grandchildren, playing pool, and enjoyed sports. He and his wife were volunteers at the Swiss Village desk for many years.
He is survived by three sons, Wallace (Joyce) Dubach of Columbia City; Lynn Dubach of Berne; and Robert (Susan) Dubach of Geneva; and daughter, Rebecca (Rev. Jeff) Gaskill of Berne.
He was preceded in death by his wife; sister, Fern Habegger; and brother, Lester Dubach.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 on Friday, March 30 at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31 at the Swiss Village Chapel in Berne and one hour prior to the 2:30 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, March 31 at the Cross Community Church in Berne. Officiating are Pastors Chris Kruchkow and Jeff Gaskill. Burial will take place at the MRE Cemetery in Berne.
Memorials may be made to the Cross Community Church and the Swiss Village Samaritan Fund.
