Gloria A. Heller
Gloria Ann Heller, 76, went into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, April 12, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 31, 1937 to Joseph and Sylvia (Bailey) Teeple.
She graduated from Poling High School and Ball State University with a Master’s Degree in Education. She was an elementary teacher at Baugo School and retired in 2002. She loved being an educator, but she especially enjoyed making a positive impact in the lives of young children. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She was extremely kind, generous, and thoughtful and was always more concerned for others than herself. She was a strong woman of faith and loved to hum her favorite hymns with her beautiful soprano voice. She was a former member of Ontwa Baptist Church in Edwardsburg, Michigan and a current member of Elkhart Church of God.
She is survived by three children, LeRoy (Kathy) Heller; and Khristy (Joe) Beck, both of Edwardsburg, Michigan; and Bobbie (Terry) Brown of Niles, Michigan; their father, LeRoy Franklin (Lori) Heller of Vandalia, Michigan; brother, Richard (Julie) Teeple of Ohio; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16 and one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, April 17 at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, Granger, enter off Cherry Rd. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at West Lawn Cemetery in Geneva.
