Howard E. Schwartz
Howard E. Schwartz, 84, a resident of Bluffton, died at 1:54 a.m. on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
He was born on May 14, 1926, in Adams County, to Joel M. and Sarah (Neussbaum) Schwartz. He was married on December 12, 1948, in Bluffton, to Beulah M. Bertsch.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Sharon) Merritt of Craigville; two sons, Gary (Barb) Schwartz of Bluffton; and Dale (Joni) Schwartz of Decatur; one brother, Lester (Sally) Schwartz of Berne; two sisters, Mildred Schladenhauffen of Bluffton; and Mrs. Vernon (Leulla) Geisel of Keystone; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Cheryl Schwartz in 1950; and one brother, Kenneth Schwartz on February 4, 2010.
Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, and from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21 at Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Service is at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, with visiting one hour prior, at the Apostolic Christian Church East in Bluffton. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
