Joyce A. Spitler
Joyce A. Spitler, 67, of Berne passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born on November 8, 1945 in Adams County to Arden and Allene (Boze) Mosser. She was married on November 25, 1972 to Marvin Spitler.
She was a member of the Berne Evangelical Church. She graduated from Geneva High School and attended Indianapolis University and International Business College in Fort Wayne. She was an accountant for Brooks Construction and later Fox Contractors in Fort Wayne. She enjoyed college basketball and rooted for the IU Hoosiers. She also enjoyed crocheting and most of all loved her family, grandchildren, and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Amanda L. (Paul) Zerby of Berne; son, David (Natalie) Spitler of Berne; three brothers, Jerry L. (Ann) Mosser of Verona, Wisconsin; Stanley W. (Anita) Mosser of Geneva; and Steven (Becky) Mosser of Calhoun, Tennessee; and six grandchildren, Austin, Rebecca, and Brandon Zerby; and Benjamin, Ava, and Nikolas Spitler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the 7:00 p.m. memorial service on Thursday, January 10 at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Sprunger. Burial will take place at the Riverside Cemetery in Geneva.
