Kathleen “Kathy” Bauman, 58, of Geneva passed away at 9:09 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born on October 12, 1955 in Bluffton to Ralph J. and Harriet “Betty” (Stogdill) McFarren. She was married on June 8, 1974 at the First Baptist Church in Bluffton to Brian “Rudy” L. Bauman. They have shared the last 39 years together.
She graduated from Bluffton High School with the class of 1974. She was presently working as the activities director for the South Adams Senior Center and had previously worked as an administration assistant at the High Street United Methodist Church in Geneva. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Portland. She loved to do scrapbooking and made cards with rubber stamps. She recently enjoyed making jewelry. She loved to vacation with her husband in the Smoky Mountains and spend time with her Sheltie dogs.
She is survived by her husband of Geneva; son, Brent J. Bauman; and grandson, Cole Bauman, both of Geneva; sister, Suzanne (Nolan) Markley of Richmond; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Larry McFarren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20 and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, December 21 at Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Officiating will be Pastor Tim Dilley. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Geneva.
