Kerry Lee Mazelin, 64, of Hartford City passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on February 19, 1948 in Decatur to Peter and Agnes (Habegger) Mazelin. He was married on August 15, 1970 to Jane Dunlap.
He graduated from Ligonier High School in 1966 and attended Ball State University for two years. He was a retail manager at Danner's for more than 15 years and then worked at Alco until his retirement. He was a veteran of the US Navy.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, where he participated in the Outreach Program and was an Elder. He enjoyed traveling, maps, waterfalls and lighthouses. He was a godly man and loved the Lord.
He is survived by his wife of Hartford City; two daughters, Tina (Bill) Leiner of Midland, Michigan; and Tammy (Chris) Berry of Hemlock, Michigan; brother, Gene (Vicki) Mazelin of Bangor, Michigan; and three grandchildren, Hannah Leiner; Elizabeth Leiner; and Isaiah Mazelin Berry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Teddy W. Mazelin.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 21 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion and one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Monday, October 22 at St. James Lutheran Church, 1206 N. Miller Avenue, Marion. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Miller.
