Kevin Lewis Merillat
Kevin Lewis Merillat, 61, a resident of Brooklyn, New York, died in his apartment on August 4, 2010 of natural causes. He had been ill for several years.
He was born on August 26, 1948, to Vaughn Edward and Carol Elizabeth (Sprunger) Merillat of Berne. He grew up in Berne and graduated from Berne High School, attended Indiana University in Bloomington, and has lived in New York for many years. Before his illness, he worked as a land title examiner.
He is survived by his father; two sisters, Donna (Roy) Merillat Heatwole of Harrisonburg, Virginia; and Jeannine (Mark) Merillat Starks of Centerville, Ohio; three nieces and nephews, Kelly Heatwole of Arlington, Virginia; Kyle (Kristen) Heatwole of Olney, Maryland; and Emily Starks of Centerville, Ohio; one great-niece, Courtney Heatwole; and one great-nephew, Dylan Heatwole of Olney, Maryland.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1994.
