Loren L. Stauffer
Loren L. Stauffer, 70, of Decatur passed away on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Woodcrest of Decatur. He was born on March 3, 1942 to Everett and Eileen (Steiner) Stauffer. He was married on April 14, 1965 to Doris Daniel.
He was a member of the Berne Evangelical Church. He was employed at Indiana University, Bloomington and later at Berco in Berne. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. His special interests included gardening. He was an avid sports fan rooting for IU and the St. Louis Cardinals and was a friend to all dogs.
He is survived by his mother; his wife; son, Steven (Krista) Stauffer of Walbridge, Ohio; two daughters, Becki (Keith) Dilley of Decatur; and Veronica Stauffer of Indianapolis; brother, Stanley Stauffer of Decatur; sister, Karen (Denny) Rowell of Berne; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Charles Stauffer.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17 at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne and one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, October 18 at the Berne Evangelical Church in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Ken Fahls. Burial will take place at the Evangelical Mennonite Church Cemetery.
