Lynn Wallace Sprunger, 86, of Jackson, Michigan and formerly of Hudson, Michigan, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Allegiance Hospice House in Jackson, Michigan. He was born on March 18, 1927 in Berne to Herman E. and Arminda (Hirschy) Sprunger. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a longtime farmer.
He worked for the Hudson, Michigan area public school system prior to moving to Jackson, Michigan, where he retired from Fayette Arms Condo Association.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Tom) Crist of Jackson, Michigan; two sons, Gregory L. (Barb) Sprunger of Goshen; and Jay W. (Joyce) Sprunger of Hudson, Michigan; four grandchildren, Brock B. (Jennifer) Sprunger; Holly K. (Darick) Clark; Andy T. (Kelly) Crist; and Joseph C. Crist; seven great-grandchildren, Ben Sprunger; Cody Sprunger; Brielle M. Clark; KaeLynn N. Clark; Norah E. Crist; Kennedy Chesney; and Chase Chesney; brother, Steven Sprunger; sister, Jayne Mann; and two sisters-in-law, Gerry Sprunger; and Pat Sprunger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Berwyn, Donavon, and Dwight Sprunger; and sister, Enid Sprunger.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Monday, August 5 at First United Methodist Church, 275 W. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, Michigan. Officiating will be Reverend Edward Ross. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at MRE Cemetery in Berne.
Memorials may be made to Allegiance Hospice House.
