Marieda R. Neuenschwander

Marieda R. Neuenschwander, 84, of Berne passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born on May 10, 1927 in Adams County to Jacob and Maria (Stucky) Sprunger. She was married on April 8, 1948 to Ellis Neuenschwander.
She was a member of the Mt. Hope Church. She was a homemaker, assisted her husband on the farm, and later worked at Amishville USA Restaurant. Her special interests included quilting, sewing, crafts, birds, baking and flower gardening.
She is survived by two sons, David (Kay) Neuenschwander of Berne; and Loren Neuenschwander of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Gyneth (Kevin) Lehman of Union City; and Nancy (Norman) Okasako of Hawaii; sister, Agnes (William) Habegger of Berne; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Debby Neuenschwander; brother, Ivan Sprunger; and two sisters, Verena Rupp; and Darlene Neuenschwander.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15 at the Swiss Village Chapel in Berne. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16 at the Mt. Hope Church in rural Berne. Officiating will be Pastor David Boots and Pastor Keith Rupp.
Graveside services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16 at the MRE Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Swiss Village Samaritan Fund and the Mt. Hope Church.
