Mildred L. Brinneman

Mildred L. Brinneman, 94, of Berne passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born on June 19, 1918 in Michigan City to William and Dovie (Bellville) Killingbeck. She was married on June 6, 1940 to Vernon Brinneman.
She lived in Wells County most of her life. She was a member of the Mulberry Street Wesleyan Church in Bluffton, where she was a choir member and served on the church board. She was a nurse's aide at the Fort Wayne State School Hospital and the Caylor-Nickel Clinic in Bluffton. Her special interests included writing poems, publishing a book entitled "Reflections", publishing a song, sketching, travel, camp, and crochet.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn (Jerry) Powers of Warren; son, Lorin (Frances) Brinneman of Berne; 12 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, James Brinneman; two brothers, Courtney and Howard Killingbeck; half-brother, Earl "Bud" DeVaux; and two sisters, Hattie Williams; and Clara Bailey.
Visitation will be four hours prior to the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday, October 23 at the Swiss Village Chapel in Berne. Burial will take place at the Bethel Cemetery in Wells County.
