Myrna G. Augsburger, 83, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 11, 2012 in Palliative Care at Akron City Hospital. She was born on April 3, 1929 in Bluffton to Enzla and Ocie Braden Noble. She was the youngest of nine children. She was married on June 29, 1947 in Bluffton to Ellis Augsburger. They have resided in the Akron area since 1971.
She had been a faithful employee of Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Leslie Locke Corporation of Akron, Ohio, and Ciriello and Carr Funeral Homes, where she retired in 1992. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne and was an active member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church and its Joy Group in Stow, Ohio. She was also an active member of the Wives of US Submarine Veterans of WWII.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Eric Augsburger of Fort Wayne; and Douglas Augsburger of Akron, Ohio; daughter, Cynthia Augsburger (Thomas) Weiss of Akron, Ohio; seven grandsons; three granddaughters; seven great-grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. memorial service on Friday, June 29 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 3725 Kent Rd. Stow, OH 44223. Private inurnment will take place at Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
