Ora Lou Beavo, 83, of Van Wert, Ohio passed away at 2:35 a.m. on Sunday, December 9 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert, Ohio. She was born on September 18, 1929 in Geneva to Paul Eber and Ethel M. (Booher) Teeple. She was married to Junior “Jack” Beavo.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Sharp Canning Company and Van Wert County Hospital. She was a member of the former Van Wert Eagle Auxiliary and Van Wert American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen S. (Gayle L.) Stevens of Van Wert, Ohio; four sisters, Sharon Lindsey of Bryant; Peggy Klefeker of Fort Recovery, Ohio; and Linda Strick; and Cheryl Grubenhoff, both of Van Wert, Ohio; two grandchildren, Paul (Jeanine) Stevens of Burke, Virginia; and Greg (Ashley) Stevens of Bucyrus, Ohio; and seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Megan, Matthew, Ryne, Austin, Sidney, and Graycen Stevens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 24, 2000; and three brothers, Keith, Landis, and Leland Teeple.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, Ohio. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Miller. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, Ohio.
