Pollyanna M. Neuenschwander, 96, of Berne passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born on August 21, 1916 in Adams County to Peter B. and Elizabeth (Welty) Lehman. She was married on November 11, 1939 to Orval Neuenschwander.
She was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Women in Missions at the church, and taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years. She was also active in Adams County 4-H Club, P.T.A. and was a Cub Scout den mother. She enjoyed traveling and sewing.
She is survived by two sons, Olin (Rita) Neuenschwander of Parker, Colorado; and Ryan (Debbie) Neuenschwander of Bonaire, Georgia; two daughters, Chloe (Jack) Cooper of Fountain Valley, California; and Beth (Gary) Hart of Decatur; son-in-law, James Nussbaum of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Juanita Arnold of Berne; brother, Bill (Carolyn) Lehman of Ohio City, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in June of 2007; two daughters, Omega Ann; and Wanda Nussbaum; brother, Roe Lehman; and two sisters, Barb Reimer; and Wavalene Yoder.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4 and one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, January 5 at Swiss Village in Berne. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Flueckiger and Chaplain Anita Rediger. Burial will take place at MRE Cemetery in Berne.
