Raymond K. "Doc" Milligan, 84, of Geneva passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at his residence. He was born on Wednesday, January 25, 1928 in Bearcreek Township, Jay County to Robert Russell and Beatrice Madonna (Marce) Milligan. He was married on Sunday, June 28, 1953 in Jay County to Thelma L. Longnecker.
He graduated from Bryant High School and the Cleveland Institute of Electronics. He was a United States Army veteran and served in the Korean War. He was a lifetime resident of Jay and Adams counties. He was a Jay County farmer and worked as a security guard for Teledyne in Portland. He was a member of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), the National Rifle Association (NRA), and the Geneva VFW Post #6751. He was a ham radio operator and enjoyed motorcycles.
He is survived by wife of Geneva.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cynthia Louise Milligan; and sister, Mary Margaret Milligan.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27 at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Larry Eads. Burial will take place at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant.
Military graveside rites will be provided by Geneva VFW Post # 6751.
