Ronald D. Herman
Ronald “Ron” D. Herman, 62, of Keystone passed away peacefully at 10:55 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on November 28, 1950 in Decatur to Donald F. and Grace (Liechty) Herman and Lillian (Nussbaum) Herman who passed away in 1954. Grace survives in Keystone. He was married on August 27, 1977 in Berne to Linda M. Bentley.
He attended South Adams High School. In 1970, he started working for (E.P.C) Elkhart Products Corporation in Geneva. He had 43 years of service with them, along with working on the family farm. He enjoyed pulling tractors. He loved to spend time outdoors and was very particular about his yard and flowers. Recently, his favorite activity was spending time with his grandchildren and giving them rides on the tractor. He was a member of the Bluffton First Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife of Keystone; son, Adam W. Herman of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; daughter, Amy R. (David) Herman-Moscrip of Lakeland, Florida; three brothers, Steve (Viv) Herman; Brian Herman; and Ed (Cindy) Herman, all of Keystone; and three sisters; Shar (Glen) Morgan of Ossian; Arlene Herman of Fort Wayne; and Joy (Mike) Mygrant of Bluffton. He was lovingly known as PaPa by his two grandchildren, Alyson and Samuel Moscrip of Lakeland, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2008; and brother, Jay Herman in 1982.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30 at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton and one hour prior to the 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, May 1 at the Bluffton First Church of the Nazarene. Officiating will be Pastor Tim Miller. Burial will be at Alberson Cemetery in rural Adams County.
