Rose E. Yoder

Rose E. Yoder, 96, of Berne passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at her daughter’s residence. She was born on December 26, 1916 in Adams County to Jacob P. and Emily (Graber) Schwartz. She was married on January 30, 1941 to Trueman E. Yoder.
She was a homemaker and was an Old Order Amish.
She is survived by three sons, Mervin R. (Elizabeth) Yoder of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; Abraham R. (Rosie) Yoder of Geneva; and Wilson R. (Elizabeth) Yoder of Berne; four daughters, Edna R. (John) Schwartz of Sarasota, Florida; Elizabeth R. (Neil E.) Troyer of Geneva; Emma R. (Emanuel E.) Wickey of Owensville, Kentucky; and Ida R. (Elmer L.) Schwartz of Monroe; daughter-in-law, Josephine E. Yoder of Berne; 73 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1996; two sons, Trueman R. Yoder; and Jake R. Yoder; 11 brothers; and five sisters; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23 and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24 at the Wilson R. Yoder residence, 5370 E. 800 S., Berne. Funeral services will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25 also at Wilson’s residence. Officiating will be Bishop Joe R. Girod. Burial will be at Amish Blue Creek Cemetery in Berne.
