Stephen C. Barker
Stephen C. Barker, 68, of Decatur died on March 7, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born on September 16, 1944 in Decatur to Chet and Anna L. (Railing) Barker. He was married on September 19, 1964 to Kathryn “Kaki” L. Faurote.
He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. He was owner of Barker and Sons Wrecker Service since 1965. He was a former member and director of Tri State Gas and Engine Association.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Jim (Tina) Barker; Jeff (Julie) Barker; and Tom (Michelle) Barker, all of Decatur; two daughters, Leslie (Mark) Cook; and Amy (Doug) Breauchy, both of Decatur; sister, Joan (John) King of Rockford, Ohio; and 13 grandchildren, Kelsey, Kristen, Kylie, Cole, Oliver and Isaac Barker; Keri and D.J. Breauchy; Abbey (Jordon) Eicher; and Katlyn, Madison, Alex and Makenzie Cook.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. Reciting of the Holy Rosary will be at 1:30. Visitation will also be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12 at St. Mary’s Parish Hall followed by an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father David Voors and Deacon Jerry Kohrman. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
