Tabitha D. Cline
Tabitha Dee "Bike" Cline, 96, of Bryant passed away at 10:55 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at her residence. She was born on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 30, 1916 in Adams County to John and Lucy (Decker) Teeter. She was married on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 21, 1940 in Geneva to Marion F. Cline.
She graduated from Geneva High School Class of 1934. She worked at Winner House in Berne and Jay Garment in Portland. She was a member of the Mary Penrose Wayne Chapter D.A.R. She was also a member of the Jay County Historical Society and the Jay County Hospital Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband most of her life. She attended the Former Sardinia Congregational Christian Church of Bryant.
She is survived by two daughters, Jackie (Paul) Sanders; and Jeanie Lantz, both of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Norma (Mathew) Sanders-Rody of Fort Wayne; two great-grandchildren, Kristofer (fiance Stephanie Hobbs) Sanders; and Amethyst (fiance Ryan Johnson) Sanders, both of Fort Wayne; four step-great-grandchildren, Brendan, Geran, Landon and Isabella Rody; step-great-great-granddaughter, Kenzee Rody; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on September 25, 1997; two sisters, Violet Timmons; and Jackie Mere; and son-in-law, Rod Lantz.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21 and one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, August 22 at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva. Burial will be at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant.
