Truman D. Gottschalk

Rev. Dr. Truman Dale Gottschalk, 88, of Greenwood passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013. He was born on March 8, 1925 in Berne to Clemet and Mahala (Ruesser) Gottschalk.
He was a minister, evangelist and missionary at One Mission Society. He had been a missionary in Ecuador for 12 years and was also a pastor in Fort Wayne and St. Petersburg, Florida churches. He was a member of Southport Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Bendinger Gottschalk; daughter, Laurel (Jack) Reinking of Spring Lake, Michigan; two sons, Stephen (Beverly) Gottschalk of Charleston, South Carolina; and Rudy (Martha) Gottschalk of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Marjorie DeArmond; and Vivian Sprunger, both of Berne; three step-children; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Eileen Roth Gottschalk; and Alice Huff Gottschalk; and sister, Phyllis Conrad.
Visitation was one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, June 5 at Southport Presbyterian Church – Toney Chapel and will be one hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, June 6 at First Missionary Church in Berne. Burial will be at MRE Cemetery in Berne.
