William C. Poulson

William C. "Bill" Poulson, 83, of Liberty Center passed away at 10:38 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Tuesday, July 16, 1929 to Grover and Edna (Rennecker) Poulson. He was married on July 7, 1950 to Donna Dee Detamore.
He graduated from the Liberty Center High School Class of 1947. He had been a Wells County farmer for over 40 years. He served on the Liberty Center VFD for over 20 years and was a member of the Mt. Etna Masonic Lodge for 50 years. He enjoyed golfing, playing horseshoes, fishing, restoring antique tractors and was an avid IU basketball fan.
He is survived by two daughters, Shirley (Dennis) Markley, Sun City, Arizona; and Connie (Jeff) Whitesell of Bluffton; two sons, Richard (Maureen) Poulson of Atlanta, Georgia; and Michael (Judy) Poulson of Berne; three brothers, Jim Poulson; and Ira "Bob" Poulson, both of Liberty Center; and Dan Poulson of Warren; three sisters, Frieda Finley; Mildred Gilbert; and Ruth Brooks, all of Warren; eight grandchildren, Lydia and Stuart Poulson; Brian and Keith Poulson; Cory and Cahli Allen; Nicole Williams; and Trenton Markley; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 2000; three brothers, Everett, Ralph, and Harrold Poulson; and two sisters, Lois Eltzroth; and Margaret Knight.
Visitation was from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 15 and will be one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, February 16 at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Officiating will be Pastor Scott Nedberg. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion.
