Adams Central came within a ball carry of having the opportunity to grab a comeback win over a good Heritage team on Friday night, but the Jets fumbled the ball twice in a light rain inside the red zone with less than five minutes remaining in the contest.
The first time, AC fell on the ball but the second time it squirted away from the Jets’ offense. The Patriots’ Matt Gibson fell on the ball and recovered it for the Pats, who were leading 33-27 at the time, robbing Adams Central of the opportunity to ring up a come-from-behind win.
