Bellmont claims rivalry game from Central

Bellmont coach Larry Patterson was recently forced to make some adjustments in his program due to injuries on his varsity squad. One of those strategies was to move junior varsity giant Matt Chronister into a full varsity status. Tuesday night, Chronister more than proved his varsity capabilities by scoring 16 points, most on the boards, to help lead the Braves to a 70-63 victory over Adams Central in Decatur.
"We had been playing Matt five quarters. He played a varsity half at Garrett," said Patterson. "With the injuries, we've been forced to bring some kids up from the junior varsity."
