The sky wasn’t the only thing pouring in Monroe Tuesday night.
Woodlan, powered by the thunderous bats of Haley Hostetler and Logan Smead, rained on Adams Central’s conference hopes as the Warriors scored early and often in a 15-1 thumping of the Jets in a game that lasted only five innings.
Hostetler finished her night 3-for-3 with two doubles and one home run. Smead finished 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs. Both players drove in five runs each.
Woodlan (4-0, 1-0 ACAC) finished the game with 16 hits, 11 of them coming against Central starter Sydnee Peterson.
