Big possession turns tide for Braves
South Adams had just completed a six-point run to open the second quarter, sneaking in front of Bellmont by a point, when a quick turn of events saw their rally killed along with their chances of knocking off their county rival in Decatur Tuesday night in varsity boys’ basketball.
Bellmont (3-4) used a six-point possession midway through the second quarter to erase South Adams’ 17-16 lead and rode the momentum of that shift to a 68-56 victory.
