Braves finish county sweep, beating Starfires
After a bit of a tough start, Bellmont made its first trip to South Adams’ Stardome for a dual wrestling match a rewarding one by topping the Starfires 45-29 Thursday night.
The Braves, ranked No. 17 in the Indiana Mat poll, lost two of the first three matches, including a tough overtime loss at 170 pounds, but rebounded with a dominating run through the heavyweights, nearly maxing out on points from 182 through 285 pounds, and rode that wave to a relatively easy victory.
Bellmont (16-2) started its pull away run with forfeit points at 182 pounds as South Adams had to give up a weight class now that freshman Mason Morningstar is out after dislocating his elbow. Ben Bake...
