Canterbury runs over AC in sectional
BLUFFTON – For a few brief moments, Adams Central fans dare dream that their team was going to compete with powerful Canterbury in sectional action at Bluffton Wednesday.
However, those dreams quickly faded as Canterbury finished the first quarter with a nine-point run that established the tenure for the game.
Canterbury jumped into a quick 2-0 lead on an opening basket by Katherine Smith but a 3-pointer by the Lady Jets’ Briona Case briefly put the Jets in front 3-2. Canterbury took the lead again on a basket by Emma Hyndman. The Jets responded again when Abby Busse connected on a two-pointer to temporarily put the Jets back on top 5-4.
