Central boys win own track invitational
Adams Central scored twice in 10 of 15 events and edged Fremont 143-136 to win the Adams Central Invitational track and field meet Friday night in Monroe.
The Jets were led by senior thrower Troy Tonner, who won both the shot put and discus by wide margins. Tonner won the shot at 50’3” and took the discus at 177’3” (the third best throw in the state this year according to IndianaRunner.com). Ben Snider took second in the shot at 43’4” and third in the disc at 115’9”, giving the Jets a meet best 34 points in the throwing events.
