Central ends South Adams win streak
A packed house saw Adams Central score its first win over South Adams in five tries, ending a four-match losing streak to the visiting Starfires with a 36-28 win in varsity wrestling Thursday night in Monroe. Central also ended the Starfires' 44-match winning streak, dating back to the 2009-10 season.
The win puts the Jets into the driver’s seat for their first Allen County Athletic Conference round robin title since sharing the crown with South Adams during the 2009-10 season, and gives them a signature win according to Coach Doug Schultz.
