Central puts away Bluffton to advance to showdown with Woodlan
In methodical Adams Central tournament style, the Flying Jets slammed Bluffton 9-1 at the outset of the first game of Class 2A Volleyball Sectional action at AC on Thursday night and never reneged to advance to a showdown with powerful Woodlan in Saturday's action.
State kill leader Hali Wendel came out swinging and brought down four kills in the first six Jet points to establish her authority in the game.
In the end, the AC netters defeated the Tigers 25-10 in the first match and then continued their dominance of the visitors from the west with convincing 25-11 and 25-12 victories to complete a 3-0 sweep.
