Adams Central got to Bluffton starter Cameron Gerber early, scoring five runs in two innings and held on for a big 6-4 victory in varsity baseball Tuesday night in Monroe. The win keeps Central in the ACAC lead with Leo as both are unbeaten. The Jets (10-3, 3-0 ACAC) continue conference play Thursday night at Heritage.
Isaac Luginbill threw seven solid innings to get the win for Adams Central. He weathered a rough fourth inning which saw Bluffton score all four of its runs, but was untouchable otherwise.
Bluffton managed five hits off Luginbill, drew three walks and struck out five times.
