Combs powers Jets by Starfires
A six-run second inning, fueled by a grand slam from Dalton Combs, and strong pitching all night by Isaac Soldner helped Adams Central post a 12-4 varsity baseball victory over visiting South Adams Thursday night.
The win raises the Class 2A No. 2 Jets’ season record to 17-3 and puts them at 4-2 in Allen County Athletic Conference action. South Adams slips to 13-10 and finishes ACAC play at 4-3.
Adams Central held a 1-0 lead after one and a half innings, scoring their first run after Isaac Luginbill led off the bottom of the first with a double and came home on a ground out by Soldner.
